The Man Behind the Fangs Guest Blog and Giveaway with Tiffany Allee

It’s no secret that I love vampires. I love pretty much any and all types of paranormal creatures to varying degrees and in different kinds of ways. And to be honest, I am a little crazy about worldbuilding and using lots of different types of magic and creatures in my books. So when it came to writing a book geared toward Entangled Publishing’s new Covet imprint, which is a line that emphasizes the romance story over the worldbuilding, it was quite a challenge for me, but a fun one!

Most of my focus moved to the characters. Sure there are some quirky side characters, and a heroine who is (in my opinion) quite interesting on her own, but a lot of the story focuses on the main supernatural character, a vampire named Noah. He’s also the smexy love interest.

Noah is a two hundred year old vampire who spent much of his early vampire life fighting in a hidden war between vampire factions. But the war is over (mostly), and now Noah must find his place in a world filled mainly with humans. Noah is very human in a lot of ways. He has loved and lost, he runs a small company out of his home, and he yearns for Alice, his next door neighbor—although he prefers to pretend he doesn’t.

When Noah is forced to share a cabin on a cruise ship with Alice, he’s also forced to realize that he hasn’t really been living a full life. And that he wants things he feels like he shouldn’t. Noah is quite the vampire, but that is a secret. So in this book, he has to rely on his human side to win over the heroine. Luckily, Noah’s vampire traits are secondary to his charm, protectiveness, and good heart.

It also probably doesn’t hurt that he’s quite the hottie. ;-)

When you read a book with a supernatural love interest, do you find yourself falling for the tough supernatural creature, or the man behind the powers?

Book Description:

Alice Shepard needs one thing: a date for her sister's wedding. And not just any date. A hunk who will make her fiancé rue the day he left her for her best friend. Her drop-dead gorgeous neighbor fits the bill—even if he is a bit quirky and never comes out during the day—and Alice has downed just enough appletinis to ask him. But she makes it quite clear that there will be no funny business.

Spending a week on a cruise ship full of humans while sleeping close to his sexy next-door neighbor sounds like a helluva bad idea to vampire Noah Thorpe. But his friends need time to get him out of a shotgun wedding—a vampire bonding that will tie his fate to a female vampire he's never met. And Alice's offer comes at just the right time.

What could possibly go wrong?

This is a new twist, a vampire cruising. I always think of a lot of sunshine when cruising, it will be interesting to see how the story works around that.
